I've always walked to the Azul flight at GRU too, but my last flight was Sept 2019.

Side note: I paid for 'Azul Space' SDU-GRU on a recent trip (E195) and the leg room is great - plus those seats, with the premium, are often vacant / no seatmate / etc.
