As a general matter, premium security lines are largely useless. Unless you have Pre-Check, you will be run through the standard process, e.g. shoes off, laptop and 3-1-1 bag out, jacket off and run through machine.

If one happens to have access through status, class of service and the like, it's just fine, but not worth paying for. Particularly if one considers that Pre-Check costs $85 for 5 years ($100 for Global Entry for 5 years).
