Thanks for the information, I kept trying to click through to the T&Cs but they only sent me to the summary for the new card, which of course they didn't say anything about the restrictions. Bummers they didn't just loosen the controls. Oh well, there was a >0% chance I was going to get it again, if I could somehow get the sign-up bonus (I had previously done a Gold-Platinum upgrade when they took away the Good BOGO$99 certificate, so I don't think I ever got a Platinum sign-up bonus) but the class restrictions on the BOGO makes it significantly less convenient and attractive, especially with the higher AF.
