Presumably, AS flights are already pretty full. Why give up a high local fare for a pro-rated connection fare? Isn't this the problem DL has with AS?
AS has struggled to retain VX flyers. Joining OW is in part I suspect a reflection of the difficulties its had competing with UA in California, particularly ex-SFO.
