Tonight we placed our 2nd Doordash order which would finish the Chase credit plus a few bucks over that.

At pick up the restaurant worker told me an appetizer item was canceled. They also could not print a final list of items picked up. The worker said her iPad with the app to contact Doordash was broken therefore they could not inform Doordash of the non-available of the item. But she said she called the owner of the restaurant, and the owner said he would call Doordash to issue a refund.

When we returned home, I went to Doordash site to report the missing item. Doordash quickly issued a credit, about 0.50 higher than the original item with tax. Turns out this how Doordash refund you, in the form of a Doordash credit, NOT actually refund to your credit card on file... That is total BS. In short, Doordash forces you to use it again in order to get back your own money!

I replied to them to take back the Doordash credit and to issue the correct refund to the credit card instead. Got back an "escalation" request is forwarded to Escalation Team to "further review" the case and will get back to the customer in 48 hours...

Rather poor handling in refund payment on non-fulfilled items,
Uber does this too. It pisses me off.

If they don't refund it just file a partial chargeback.
