So I called my company's TA and they said it will be two separate tickets, because UA and AA/BA are not codeshare partners, but it will be under one PNR. Does that change anything?
Should be fine checking bags through so long as it is on one PNR; I don't recall any reports here on FT specific to UA on this, but hopefully someone can chime in.
