Fair enough, but if you're using your Hyatt points, it can be a reasonable option -- especially if you're visiting on days when Barcelona hotels are crowded and expensive.. I've got a 24-hour stay in Barcelona coming up (fly-in, fly-out) and I priced a few options in the city center. The Barcelona Hilton wants 93,000 points for my night, and I didn't see anything else that looked attractive on points. You can easily get from the airport to the Hyatt for almost nothing by bus, or a cheap, fast cab ride. You then have the cheap (but fairly long) metro ride into town. It's not going to be a perfect location for anyone, but it can work if there aren't better alternatives. If I were paying cash money, though, I'd look for alternatives.
