Whilst deferring to your clear obvious knowledge about EF I was recalling a couple of conversations had with BA staff at the beginning of Jan where they said exactly that. Whether it was true, where/ how they obtained this information/ arrived at this conclusion I have no idea however it DID happen and I had no real reason to disbelieve them as we were told this during more than call when looking to upgrade a flight showing F reward availability but upon calling it not existing according to the agents we spoke to. so as a data point of something I was told I felt it valid to mention it.
I am a firm fan of your / EF's amazing work and in no way was looking to slight or cast shadow but one can only go on the experiences that they have had. If you are concerned that this has happened/ was being told to customers i'm happy to try and provide some more precise data points for you if you'd like to PM me about it but at the same time I wont say that something I experienced didn't happen when it did.
Respectfully - Clay'
