Wondering if someone can help me here. Have a 24 hour stay in Washington coming up on a weekend and have the full day to roam around the city doing typical touristy stuff.
Looking for advice as to what property is the best in terms of location, titanium treatment (upgrades without SNA), breakfast, late checkout (4 PM). I arrive in the evening so lounge isn't something I value for this stay.
My options are:
1) Westin City Center (rate $121)
2) W Washington (rate $179)
3) JW Marriott Washington (rate $157)
Thanks.
100% the W - by far the nicest experience overall, that's an excellent rate for that property. Location perfect for you, and the in-restaurant free breakfast is one of, if not the best, I can remember having at any Marriott property. Rooftop view can't be beat either.
If wanting to go on the cheap, Westin is not a bad option, will almost certainly have checkout at 4pm available, and their breakfast buffet is well above average. Good location too.
In this scenario, in no way does it make sense to go JW - either pay the $20 for a much better property or go the full economy route. The JW is just meh.
