I haven't stayed there as a guest, but I have had lunch there and met with the hotel staff on some business. It seems like a great hotel, but as mentioned it's far away from everything. It's on Sheik Zayed road which is a stretch of business offices out in the middle of the desert. It's far from downtown and the beaches. I recommend renting a car which I do everytime in Dubai.
