It appears that the Hilton in N'Djamena is gone. The phone reservations people have provided inconsistent information ("open", "offline", "unavailable"), but no one has been able to get me a reservation for any of a variety of dates. Small loss for me - it was usually beyond my price range - but visiting co-workers liked it better than other options.
