Hi all. I had an odd experience where I checked into a Doubletree in New York city and my room was not ready. They refused to hold my bags unless I paid $1 cash. Is this standard at all Doubletrees? What about other Hilton properties? At times I arrive early or have to leave late and I like to store my luggage with the hotels. I have not had this issue with other hotels before so I was just wondering how typical this is?
