that’s their sop, and if that is available as redemption then it’s all you’re entitled to (or refund). 10.2.2.2 only really open seats from revenue when no redemption availability is available and you put your foot down (see Gulf Air Iran on AM case, I also got rebooked on CX when UL cancelled BKK-HKG and no redemption availability on CX was available)
