Ah, no it isn't. In that case, I'd be relaxed about it — AA would rebook the OP on the next flight whether it's a BA codeshare or not. But the OP is also in a position ask to be rebooked on one of the non-stops LGW-MCO if they so wish (although if they're booked in WT that would be painful with the new configuration).
I'm with you on this one. We are travelling CW / First but I'm voting with my credit card against the LGW-MCO option, as that has pretty poor CW. Actual plan is a day in Dublin, then CE to LHR; overnight hotel and a last Great British Breakfast before returning to the Land of Sunshine and Unbearably Salty Bacon. If I was travelling LGW-MCO it would have to be VS. Those BA's 777s ex-LGW are the worst Business TATL option IMHO.
