Interested in any thoughts on how much more of a “thrill ride” landing at EGE might be compared to DEN.

Thanks
‘I’ve made an annual trip to Vail for most of the last 15 years, and flying in and out of EGE is the best way to avoid the thrill ride of driving from Denver to Vail in the winter season.

Granted, I’ve primarily flown AA mainline...but I did fly UA regional DEN-EGE one year, which was non-eventful.

‘On the other hand, I’ve driven Denver-Vail once in each direction during the ski season and it was terrifying. Once our DFW-EGE flight was diverted to DEN...and I should have known better than to complete the trip driving. The other time, EGE-DFW was canceled for mechanical reasons...we had seen no snow all week but sure enough, as we neared Eisenhower pass, conditions deteriorated rapidly, and the journey became quite a white knuckle ride.
