I'm not sure where they would put stuff besides the seat. Personally, I'd rather have a larger seat/pod than wider aisles. If I had to sacrifice seat size for a wider aisles, seat size wins.
You may not know that one of the armrests can be lowered to make the seating area wider. There is a small square button in the armrest f
r that. I am not big but I find it makes a difference.
