Spent a night here after a late arrival, before moving on to Hermitage (to check off a targeted promo requirement). I've been to a handful of alofts in Asia (KL, BKK), and the rooms are all fairly similar, in my opinion generally poorly designed (with showers that leak all over the bathroom floor, broken blinds that don't black out the light). So no surprises with this room.
Didn't get an upgrade at all, aloft room (despite other categories showing), but with a midnight check-in, it didn't matter. There were three pieces of chocolate waiting for me, along with a welcome letter and a few hundred ants.
Didn't get the free welcome drink someone mentioned above, but was given a 30% discount voucher for food (including room service). Placed an order and it was decent. Breakfast in lieu of 500 points, sorta stingy compared to other hotels, but by the rules. Breakfast was ok, not spectacular, staff friendly.
Disliked the location. Walking out late at night to buy some water, was approached by several elderly prostitutes and a guy mumbling something about drugs. A couple street food stalls nearby, but the area doesn't seem very desirable to me. Won't be back.
