I've used the portal for both hotels and airfare. The only time I've ever transferred was a couple of years ago, before the Hyatt devaluation, when I got a fantastic deal on a Hyatt Place in San Jose.

It comes in really handy when I can't find a good deal via Priceline or a Hilton Price Match.
