As I spent most of my teenage years in Greece, I 've got a few Greek airline tales for the list..
I've flown SouthEast European Airlines (SEEA)...Mid-nineties..SKG-ATH and back on a tiny F-50...Very pleasant service as far as I can recall. And an one-way ATH-SKG on equally good Axon Airlines...Must have been a Saab or some other RJ. They didn't go bankrupt but were losing money and suspended service shortly after 11/9/2001.
Additionally, I've flown on three-and-a-half officially defunct airlines that still operate: Cronus Airlines (bought by Aegean Airlines), Olympic Airways (now re-named "Olympic Airlines"), Swissair and Crossair.
