Lufthansa Panorama Lounge Frankfurt Concourse A

As I had arrived on a Singapore Airlines flight (despite technically being booked on their Lufthansa codeshare flight number), I was of course not entitled to access any of the Lufthansa First Class Lounges in Frankfurt (it’s the metal that counts, not the ticket). As I had never visited the „newly“ opened panorama lounge next to gate A26, I decided to have a look at that in order to spend some time before my connecting flight.

After entering the lounge, I actually struggled a bit to find my bearings. This lounge is completely different from all other typical Lufthansa lounges, both when it comes to the decor and also regarding the room layout. I believe this must have been a Fraport VIP service lounge before, as there is one big main room which also hosts the buffet, and then a corridor with several smaller rooms to both sides along the corridor.

Actually, the layout is something to easily get lost in, even though it is a refreshing change to what I usually expect from one of Lufthansa’s lounges.

While the food and drink offerings were roughly on par with what you would expect in any Lufthansa Senator lounge (and this is technically a business class lounge which is also accessible by Miles & More Frequent Travelers), the much smaller semi-private rooms definitely made a difference. It was all the more surprising that most people were gathering inside the big main lounge room, instead of taking a seat in one of the smaller private rooms, which were mostly empty.

After having a small second breakfast (during which I tried some really weirdly coloured wellness drinks) I got bored and decided to go out to the gate about half an hour before boarding was supposed to start. Fortunately, my flight was scheduled to depart from gate A26, which is directly opposite the lounge entrance.
