So now that DL handed out $1.8 billion to employees for profit sharing I was wondering is there any sort of criteria for who and how much each person gets? (tied to reviews etc.) or is it just everybody gets the same percentage no matter what?

I ask because it sure makes nice headlines but honestly I see the service for DL declining (albeit slowly) year over year so if there is no incentive to perform better it seems like the profit sharing bonus will not make the experience better for the customer and just a way to hope to retain employees.

Also as I sit on an extremely old plane right now with many things broken at the seat it reminds me that maybe that money is better spent on new planes or seriously upgrading/remodeling the planes.

Edit: this post is not meant to be Anti DL so nobody get upset that I am saying anything against DL this is merely observations that I wonder if others have seen or not.
