But you wouldn't anyway earn much on a short flight and it's unlikely to be worth the risk/hassle
- you wouldn't be able to interline your luggage
- as it stands if one of your flights gets cancelled/delayed the airline is obliged to ensure you get to your final destination, but with split tickets QR wouldn't be responsible for YYZ-YUL delays and YUL-YYZ carrier won't be responsible for QR delays
- on a single ticket you'd generally get the same luggage allowance of your international flight on your domestic segments
- the single ticket might be cheaper than buying separate tickets to begin with
My colleague is flying next month with same itinerary but till DOH instead of BOM. As per him, ticket shows AC number and he had to select seats on AC's website for YYZ-YUL segment. Yes its a short flight but will be flying-in in a Z so wouldn't be 150% Aeroplan on that segment? I know it wouldn't be much but better than nothing as it stands now if using only QR Privilege club.
Yes your correct separate tickets will indeed be costlier plus the delays hassle if any.
