EI should check the luggage at LHR or LGW all the way to YYZ as you have back to back tickets, but only if you ask, they also should be able to issue the onward boarding cards etc.

You can then use flight connections and avoid all the hassles.

Even if you have to exit and re enter 1010 arrival should be sufficient but its your call.
