I just returned form my first ever QR J trip earlier this week after one trip in Y late last year. Numerous EK trips in all classes over several years.

Some of it will just be down to my familiarity with all things EK, but I found QR just got almost everything not quite right, and I was in Qsuites on 2 of the 4 legs. Everything from check in, to lounges, to food, to the seats etc seemed to just fall short, as if they'd been planned/designed by a committee of non flyers.

As already said, dine on demand is the big thing missing from EK's repertoire but I think I read on here recently that could be coming soon, however on the A380 the snack menu in the bar could probably substitute.
