Also would I be able to credit AC segment YUL-YYZ on Aeroplan, if the ticket is bought through QR? May be not but to max out here should I be looking to get 2 separate tickets YYZ-YUL on AC for Aeroplan and YUL-BOM on QR? I'm just looking to experience Qsuite and Al Mourjan Lounge.
If the ticket shows an AC number then I expect you would; if it shows a QR number as a code share then I don't know
But you wouldn't anyway earn much on a short flight and it's unlikely to be worth the risk/hassle
- you wouldn't be able to interline your luggage
- as it stands if one of your flights gets cancelled/delayed the airline is obliged to ensure you get to your final destination, but with split tickets QR wouldn't be responsible for YYZ-YUL delays and YUL-YYZ carrier won't be responsible for QR delays
- on a single ticket you'd generally get the same luggage allowance of your international flight on your domestic segments
- the single ticket might be cheaper than buying separate tickets to begin with
