And so there only is little difference between Gold-Platinum-ULTI. FB would then have Blue, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Platinum Ultimate, Platinum beyond-Ultimate, plus non-earned tiers Club2000 and HIPPO. Eight tiers/levels, with at least six different sets of benefits. If now they add another tier on top of ULTI I presume those people still wouldn't get the HIPPO benefits (unless uber-ULTI is the earned version of HIPPO just as Plat is the earned version of C2000), but just a bit more than ULTI, and delivered probably just as inconsistently delivered as current ULTI benefits.
Why not create one "über-Plat" tier, be it ULTI or something else, put the threshold high enough, and *consistently* provide *real* benefits. Instead of this incremental approach of yet another tier/level with just a few more benefits. Already today their staff are ignorant or confused, it will only get worse.
I could not agree more with you,
San Gottardo. There is a lot of overlap between these different statuses and combinations thereof. For instance, while, in theory, I am sure there is a gradation between Ultimate-Platinum, Ultimate-Platinum for Life, and Ultimate-Club 2000, in practice, there is no obvious difference. In the Paris hub business lounges, all Ultimates are treated equally (and so are they in the Amsterdam hub, though not exactly the way we would like

), and on board, the distinction is imperceptible.
