Beware of the 9th and 10th floors at the weekend.

Checked in at 2 on a Friday and was told there were no upgrades available but they could give us a Queen Executive on the 9th floor instead of the King Deluxe I had booked. I foolishly agreed to this. Afterwards, when I had time to think about it, I couldn't see any upside to this decision as I'm Diamond and have exec lounge access anyway, so basically I'm getting a smaller bed on the "executive floor". Oh well.

Now the problem is that they have some sort of nightclub on the roof, as can be seen by all the pretty people trying to get in the lift up to the roof from the lobby area. The music level was tolerable on Friday and Saturday but on Sunday night it was so loud that we had difficulty hearing the TV. God knows what it was like on the 10th floor.

The music stopped promptly at midnight, so if you're out on the town anyway it probably wont be an issue - but we had a full day on Monday and wanted to get an early night.

We've stayed here before on a lower floor and it was great - just don't accept an 'upgrade' top the higher floors unless you are party people.
