Depending upon where you are in West Palm I personally do Brightline and from there (across the Brightline MIA station) take the Orange Line to MIA. If you book for the first time there are coupons for Brightline or treat yourself to their F car (very reasonably priced).
FWIW - OP said Jupiter. So he would have to get to the West Palm station. That, along with the transfer near MIA, makes Brightline a lot less attractive in my book. 3pm is pretty easy to get to MIA from Jupiter.
