Question E-Z Pass allowed in Carryon?

Am I allowed to take an E-Z Pass transponder aborad the aircraft in my carryon luggage? Is it banned? I have the original Mylar bag that is supposed to block the signal it emits. E-Z Pass was not on the TSA list of prohibited items. I am travelling from Baltimore (BWI) to Logan (BOS) and want to take the E-Z Pass with me.
