Very few flights are delayed so as EU261 would apply anyway. Make flight decisions based on issues you can assess yourself such as departure and arrival times and the comfort of the seats and the food offered.
It's a fair opinion of yours, but when the coach seats are about the same and both require T3-T5 according to other posts, I'd consider it a decent enough tie breaker.
