Hey, a kindred soul! Since I've mentioned it before, regulars won't be surprised to read one more boring time that I think amenity kits - even the "best" - are worthless collections of commercial samples. Folks who encounter one for the first time, especially via a free upgrade, might think they're coo-wel, and welcome to 'em, but otherwise, gimme a break! Am I really supposed to leap with joy for having received a tiny tube of toothpaste of a kind I don't use, and a ml bottle of Ricardo's Speciale FootSpray And Wart Remover?

Some offer them to their drop-in sleep-over guests. Since everyone surely has a spare toothbrush and razor on hand, admit it, the only reason guests get that kit is to show that you fly first class.

BTW, remember that one (at least returning U.S. ones) must include these on one's customs declaration at their (giggle) fair value.
