I just flew with Wizz Air from OSL to VIE. It was my first time flying with them for years. As I have an Australian passport, I queued up at the check-in counter in Oslo to get the stamp. But the SAS contractors working on the check-in counter had never heard of this requirement, nor did they have any stamp to give me. The guy even called his supervisor, who also didn’t think this was necessary. Sure enough, when I was asked for my passport at the boarding gate nobody said anything about needing a stamp and I got on the plane.
Is this just a one-off or do Wizz Air no longer actually check this?
This changed with FR in 2018 (?) where within Schengen they no longer require you to do a doc check. Probably the same with Wizz - check their site.
