AA to Ba on one ticket bags would be checked through, no need to clear immigration and collect tbe bags.

Only need to do that if on separate tickets and would be to true ba to ba too.

You would need to reclear security.

The only significant difference would be a potential terminal change. Aa will come into T3. I have not checked if the BA flights are T3 or T5
