It cancels within a few days. However, you can go a billing cycle past your annual fee date and still get the entire CC fee back. Call Chase and they will tell you exactly what date you need to cancel by to still recoup the fee.
Many thanks. Turns out my annual fee in fact posts in March, and by chance my spouse and I have a big international trip coming up in April. It’s in *A PE, so no lounge access without the UC membership. Here’s hoping I can time my cancellation to allow us to hit the lounges—especially the LX J Lounge at ZRH Terminal E, one of my favorites.
