What do you think of the BA A21N?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. But it seemed the most appropriate!

I’m curious as to the general perception of the BA A321-NEO. I flew on one today and honestly it felt terribly basic. The seats didn’t have headrests, they were thin and flimsy and had no recline - this was not a short flight.

They also didn’t have screens which usually play the safety video.

It felt like an ultra low cost carrier. I’m curious as to the BA rationale behind this and what’s the criteria for route selection? Obviously I appreciate this is more reflective of BA config than the plane itself.

Also as an aside I noticed before taxi the engines were venting what was presumably steam out of a vent on top of the engine, but it was very visible. Given there is a vent there it didn’t really concern me but just wondering what it is? I can imagine that to be quite unsettling for other pax. Never seen that before.
