Bit of a celebration dinner on Friday:

Apero was a Blanc de Noirs NV Champagne
Pate de Foie Gras Entier with Brioche, accompanied by Ch Raymond Lafon 2010
Grilled Dover Sole, with Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru 2008 Jaffelin
Mache with Red Leicester and Camembert accompanied by Ch Cos d'Estournel 1986.

All very excellent, of course, but to be honest the Burgundy and Claret (both penultimate bottles from a case) were on the way downhill, whereas the Sauternes was too young. The Dover Sole was sensational!
