As I wrote in another thread, given the crunch on airplanes due to the MAX situation, this will help the tight aircraft availability. I expect a cascading effect, where 777s fillin for 787s, 787s for 757s, 757s for MAXs, etc. Domestic-based crews will be spread out, perhaps with additional flying. My concern is for the HKG-based FAs, that I believe can only fly lines that originate and end in HKG. I'm not sure what the contracts say about how they can be used, of if they must be furloughed. Perhaps one of our UA FAs or pilots can weigh in.
