Massive price discrepancy on Flight passes between US and Canadian sites

I'm looking to buy a 10 credit East Triangle - West USA - Flex flight pass.

On the Canadian site it is $5,553.50 CAD, on the US site it is 5,360.00 USD which is equivalent to $7,000 CAD, so almost $1500 more (or $150 more per segment) OUCH.

If I try to purchase through the Canadian site, it throws an error as soon as I log in, because my profile is tied to a US address.

Is this just a tax to make up for the 50% AQD waiver (as a US resident)? Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase through the Canadian site or why the USD pricing is so much higher?

Thanks!
