After reading a lot of posts on this thread and other stories about long waits for approval of GE renewal, I was expecting a similarly long wait. But I submitted my renewal application on Thursday, January 30 just before noon and today, Saturday, February 1 at 4:15 AM, I got an email that there was a status change on my account. I logged in and I’m approved! Doesn’t seem like I need to do an interview. It’s not a conditional approval. It says Approved in a green box and my new expiration date is five years from the current expiration. I’m totally confused why I didn’t have to wait like so many others. Less than 48 hours!
