EI flights: only second leg credited; ticket number issue

I took a flight C2-C1 on EI last fall with a brief transfer at DUB on both ways. I provided my BAEC FF number on booking. Now it turns out that for both the inbound and the outbound flights only the second leg is listed (and credited) with BAEC.
Has anyone else experienced that phenomenon, too?
Moreover, when I try to claim the missing Avios the BAEC website asks me for the ticket number (in the format XXX YYYYYYYYYY). In the booking confirmation Aer Lingus provided the ticket number as 053YYYYYYYYYY-ZZZ (and only one number for the booking, although there were two passengers on it; I wonder if that's correct). I understand that ZZZ is just some optional checksum.
However, when I input 053 YYYYYYYYYY the BAEC website keeps telling me that the number is incorrect. Is this also another known IT glitch, or is the number provided by EI in their booking confirmation not what BAEX is asking for? Should I try to call BAEC for a manual opening of the claim?
