"Person with computer science degree" does not equal "tech genius". It's someone who picked a major that translates well to a field with far more demand than supply when it comes to employees. Half of them don't know what they are doing; they get high-paying jobs anyway.

And, yes, those people are certainly a big part of the targeted demographic. Young people with disposable income are a sought-after demographic in general.

Also, as I pointed out earlier, when those people get a little bit older and get married and have kids, and both have high-paying jobs that are demanding of their time, they start to rely more on food delivery services, because there often isn't time to cook on weekdays. Food delivery services do VERY well in the suburbs, for this reason, if the demographics are right (basically people who are likely to have both adults in the household working, and they have kids)

It's a young demographic, but it's upper-middle-income to rich young people. Lower to lower-middle-income young people never had the CSR because they could not qualify for it. Even if they are responsible with their finances and have good credit scores, Chase will not extend them the minimum required $10k in credit so they can't qualify for the card. They also don't eat out or order in much because they can't afford it. They will choose a $3, 1-hour public transit ride over a $23, 20-minute lyft ride because $20 is worth more to them than 40 minutes. They cook a lot. They go to safeway, and maybe splurge at whole foods when they can if they are into that whole organic thing. They have no-fee cash-back cards that give bonuses at grocery stores and maybe gas stations. If they travel, maybe they have a low-end co-branded airline card so they can get free checked bags. If they are irresponsible they use debit cards because no major lender will give them a credit card.
