I booked Business Class tickets RDU-YYZ-YUL-NRT using United Miles on Air Canada flights for a trip in March. I got an alert from United today that my Business (First) Class seat from RDU-YYZ evaporated, as that flight is now all Economy. Would I be allowed to switch to a different schedule RDU-YYZ-HND on a later flight that still has Business Class seating? I presume I have to do this via United Award desk? Thanks
If there is award inventory available, that should be an easy change. Yes, you'd need to call United.
If there's no award inventory available, UA can open seats on their own flights, but not partner flights.
