I just had some time to look at the fare rules. These don't show any more info than the Air NZ website - if you add a 2nd bag ($60 on a seat+bag or works ticket online or $170 at the airport) you'll get the 2 bag allowance on QF as well for the entire journey.

If you click on the "baggage info" on the main booking screen it shows your baggage limit and fare rules for the selected flights.
