in this case, I'm traveling with mr kk and our dog, so I'm willing to pay for seats (actually I'm not paying for seats anyway, amex will take care of that as my airline benefit). I just hate the idea of paying twice, since MCE isn't available at this moment.
which brings me back to my original question: does anyone know if i pay for a preferred seat and then later want to change to a MCE seat (which wasn't available at the time of paying for the preferred) do you get your money back for the preferred seat?
quote from AA website: “
- You pay more for another seat on the same flight (but not if you change to a lower priced or free seat) “
so yeah seems like you can just request a refund on prefunds.aa.com (you will need your ticket number for that )
