Actually, I have no idea on how we made it there, as I was guided by the guy picking me up at the plane door, and everything went so quickly that I didn't even have a chance to remember where exactly went. But if you say there is no official pathway between the two areas, this might be the reason why they sent me the personal assistant, as we actually took a few shortcuts (and he also had to discuss something with one of the border officers). The only thing I remember was that we went through passport control first, and then through security (which was a sharp left turn and might not have been a transit security checkpoint, but one of the regular checkpoints for departing passengers).
