Marriott Bonvoy directly to Qatar Qmiles or AA Miles
Hi team. Have a bit of a dilemma and could use some advice. I am looking to get my wife and I to Tanzania next year from LAX. My wife has almost 500K Marriott Points and I was considering taking the hit and converting them to airline miles to soften the $$ blow. Typically we fly AA and leverage the Aadvantage program, but after poking around, it seems like I may be further ahead to convert directly to Qatar in the hopes of more availability, easier booking, etc. Qatar flies from LAX to DOH to JRO with an awesome premium product, so that is where I hope to put us.
I am however open to other partners if there is better value, ease of travel. We want to be in Premium cabin, but noticed KLM has a decent itinerary as well (assuming award availability). LAX to AMS to JRO.
