I understand that the rules state that one has to pay for a flight with the MP Card to get the 2 free checked bag benefits.
I have an upcoming flight on UA that was booked through LH (with Miles & More points). It is a 1-way domestic economy ticket on UA. I have no status on UA and did not pay for the taxes with the MP Club Card (because I didn't have it yet).
Any chance of getting the 2 free checked bag benefits at check-in if I show the card? Would UA even be able to see which credit card I used given it was ticketed by LH?
