QF seem most concerned about weight, which is now 10kg per item, and 14kg in total. All I have seen is them asking to weigh the bag and if the green light goes on then all is good. One of my carry ons is is in the 158 size range, and all that has happened is the weighing at security. If you happen to have some heavier items, putting them temporarily in a smaller shoulder bag could be an idea ;-)
