Uber ride last night, and the RTR notification arrived about 12-13 hours later.
When I try responding on the phone, I get a send failed error.
And I rebooted my phone a few time, and tried through my Chromebook, which has Hangouts running in Gmail, and it rejected it there too.
So I think this is more than just my local phone problem, although I fully accept that Hangouts is incredibly glitchy/.......
Anyone else been able to get RTR to work recently via GoogleFi and/or Hangouts?
All this used to work properly in the past.....
I spent 10 min on the phone with USB about this today. They were not able to send a test message to see if works, as they said RTR is managed by some outside party.
They are attempting to manually process the two Uber charges, which I'm actually a little reluctant to do, because I suspect they will do that at 1c per pt, rather than 1.5 and I don't care that much about those rinky dink charges compared to bigger expenses (like hotels) that I want to use the card for. They said they will respond in writing to me about this in a few weeks.
So if anyone has Google Fi or Google Hangouts and is expecting RTR please chime in with recent experiences as it would help trouble shoot.
The more I think about this, I suspect its actually a Hangouts issue, as that's a terrible chat/SMS/MMS interface that seems to be poorly supported now.
