I've seen the 1st and 2nd step of such scenario in other piers (walkways not working --> hidden by planks -> no public information -> walkways removed)

so you can expect the same again this year , as i assume it is not worth the investment .

These walkways are pretty expensive to maintain and brings no incomes to the airport
This is just silly. Every other airport (let alone metro station or any other public transport) is able to maintain them in decent condition, and in AMS they just get rid of them. Incredible.
